For over 18 years, Pamela Mims, Business Systems Developer, Owner of In A Word... and Mims Consulting has successfully served the legal arena and business community in Southern and Northern California as a business organizing consultant, professional organizer, legal assistant, office manager and coordinator of outsourced services.  She has operated In A Word…   Executive Secretarial Services, serving Southern California since its inception in 1991.  In 1994, organizing individuals, home offices and mid to large-sized businesses became an added passion to the business.

Before founding In A Word..., Pamela worked as a legal secretary  for over 15 years for law firms such as O'Melveny & Myers, Loeb & Loeb, Hill Farrer & Burrill and successful sole practitioners.

Pamela is the 2005 recipient of the “Most Inspirational” Women In Business Award, presented by State Senator Jack Scott, Assembly Majority Leader Dario Frommer and Assembly Member Carol Liu.  Pamela has also been featured in various newspapers articles such as the Los Angeles Times, the Pasadena Star News and the Pasadena Weekly.  She was also featured in KTLA's "Making It."

Pamela conducts organizing workshops for regional Chambers of Commerce and Bar Associations.  She is a member of the National Association of Professional Organizers (NAPO). 

Pamela has created Organizational Procedureal Manuals for small businesses, non-profits and procedural manuals for entrepreneurial youth.  Her newest passion is facilitation her workshop on "Basic Economics and Organizational Life Skills for Young Adults" for emancipated youth transitioning into today's challenging world.

In A Word... and Mims Consulting fills a huge need by providing consultancy, organizing and support services to businesses, non-profit organizations, entrepreneurs and home offices.  As the business grows, Mims Consulting has expanded her role in the legal organizational aspect targeting law firms and sole practitioners (with customized Law Office Organizing Systems).  She has been invited by out-of-state clients several times because of her expertise and the reputation that she has built in this area.
